While the season was abruptly cut short due to the coronavirus, the Crowns basketball teams had a great run this spring! In early February, the varsity boys, varsity girls, and JV boys teams competed in the Western District tournament in Anaheim with varsity boys taking first place. Later that month the varsity boys team went to Dallas and competed in the 18U-D3 division, winning all four games and taking home the Big South regional championship. The team had high hopes of going to Nationals when COVID brought an early close to the season. In the wake of this disappointment, Coach Myers encouraged his team to trust that God is in control and that unexpected circumstances can help us gain perspective on what truly is important. The Crowns are looking forward to more growth through teamwork, friendships, and hard work next year.
